Jeffrey Archer was educated at Oxford University.  He has served in Britain's House of Commons, The House of Lords and two years in prison.  Archer lives in London and Cambridge.  
Archer writes 14 short stories with a twist.  Nine are based on true stories.

Breadfruit

 RenĂ© came across this book while perusing the numerous bargain bins at the local Borders. Right away, she was struck by the colorful cover and the Caribbean theme. She picked out this book in January, thinking it would be a great read for the cold Syracuse winter.

Celestine Hitiura Vaite is a Tahitian author, born in 1966.  She is the daughter of a Tahitian mother and a French father, growing up on the island of Tahiti.  She became interested in French authors.  Although a native French speaker, Vaite writes in English.  Vaite lives in New South Wales, Australia and has 4 children.

Wheel of Fortune by Susan Howatch

If you love English history and historical novels, Susan Howatch is the author for you.  An interesting item is that time is a circle.  We can hear echoes of the past and the future across the circle of time.  Wheel of Fortune follows the drama of the Godwin family and their home, Oxmoon.

Susan Howatch was born in England in 1940.  She received a law degree from the University of London.  She spent eleven years in America and had a daughter.  She returned to England in 1980.  She now lives near Westminster Abbey.
